OUR STAFF BIO
Meet our caring staff behind Stone Oak Family Dentistry. We provide each patient with a friendly, personalized and gentle experience. Our aim is to help each patient achieve and maintain long-term dental health along with making each patient visit as comfortable as possible.
THOMAS SAKO
DDS
Dr. Sako DDS is a Texas native. He graduated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio and went on to graduate from UT San Antonio with a Bachelor's in Biology in 1979. He then worked as a research assistant at the UTHSC San Antonio for two years, and in 1985 graduated from UTHSC San Antonio Dental School. Later he was invited to do research at the Jikei Medical School in Tokyo for a year and a half and returned to Texas to join the U.S. Navy as a dentist. He retired from the Naval reserves after 22 years. During that time Dr. Sako opened a private practice in 1999 where he is still practicing. In his free time Dr. Sako enjoys fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
ANGELA MOREY
RDH
In 1992 she graduated from Aviano American High School in Aviano, Italy. She went on to attend UTSA in 1993, as well as receive her dental assisting certificate in 1996 at San Antonio College. Angela graduated from Coastal Bend College, Dental Hygiene program in Beeville, Texas in 2003. She's been with Stone Oak Family Dentistry for 18 years. Angela spends her free time cooking, eating, traveling and just enjoying life with her husband of 23 years Jim and her teenage boys Myles and Morgan, and their dog Willow. She loves all things Twilight and Hamilton, and Christmas time is her favorite time of year!
VERONICA HERRERA
RDH
Veronica has been practicing dental hygiene for 26 years. She graduated from the University of Texas Health and Science Center, here in San Antonio, Texas in 1995. She's been working at Stone Oak Family Dentistry since 2016. Veronica enjoys spending time with family and friends. Vacationing anywhere there's a beach puts her in her happy place. Her husband, two daughters and fur baby Charlie are the lights of her life.
STEPHANIE ROSSNER
RDA
Stephanie graduated from Bates Technical College in 2011 in Washington state. She has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for 10 years. Stephanie has been at Stone Oak Family Dentistry since 2016. She's a self-described homebody with an obsession for all things dogs and plants! Her thumb is very green!! She loves comfort foods and really enjoys Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. Her fur babies Westin, Remy, and Gunther call her mom!
VIRGINIA CORONA
RDA
Virginia was born in Hanford, California. She graduated from Lemoore High School in 2020. After moving to Texas in the summer of 2020 she attended UTHSC San Antonio to become a registered dental assistant. Virginia enjoys walking her dogs, spending time with family and friends and going on adventures. She has been a wonderful addition to Stone Oak Family Dentistry.
VERONICA JOHNSON
FRONT DESK
Veronica graduated from Providence High School in 1993. She has been working as an administrator for six years, and has been with Stone Oak Family Dentistry for two years. She is also a talented nail technician who has been licensed since 2010. One of her favorite things is listening to K-Pop music! She loves spending time with her husband and daughters.
